| Show Preparing io Execute Kemmler Special THE HERALD Examiner Dispatch ALBANV April DThcre was an important consultation yesterday in the capitol to decide who should form the jury to witness the first electrical execution in the state Warden Durston of Auburn prison who will have charge of the killing ofgKemmler superintendent superintend-ent of state prisons Lathrop D Clams F prsons Clars McDonald and others were present Ever since I Kemmler was last sentenced the warden has been deluged with letters and visitors asking for an appointment on the jury It will cer tainly be one of the unique events in the history of criminal executions and of science All ant these lettors of request were laid before these gentlemen and they came to this conclusion conclu-sion They will form the jury of scientific experts ex-perts araon whom will lie eight members of the commission which reported in favor of this mode of execution Two representatives of the press will be allowed admission one from the Associated Press and the other from the United Press on thelrgiving certificates that they are not connected with any electrical company They will not be asked to give any pledge that they will not violate the provisions of the law in publishing details but the law will be read to them and they must be prepared to take the responsibility 1 they violate it cither for the purpose of testing its constitutionality or for any other purpose |
