hall wherein a large assemblage was present Vice President E Egan in the chair and Thomas B OBrien acting secretary The society went to business without much ceremony and ground out the following lowing list of ladies and gentlemen as a committee to attend to routine work for ho grand ball to be given in honor of General Gen-eral P E Connors seventieth birthday at the Salt Lake theatre on St Patricks dayThe The president of the society General Connor reported that Mrs Jennie A Fro ieth and other ladies had volunteered to attend to the details of tbe supper which announcement was greeted with vociferous vocifer-ous cheers The committee reported that a contract had been made for a sufficient quantity of carriages to receive visiting guests at the depots and make the necessary calls for he ball patrons in the city By a unanimous vote it was decided that he society engage the Temple of Honor hall to meet the hrst and second Saturday of each month No efforts will be left undone by the
