Show No Clue to the Robbers MILWAUKEE Nov 12The most experienced expe-rienced detectives in tile employ of the Chicago Milwaukee St Paul railway assisted as-sisted by the sheriff of Raoine county and a large posse of men up to a late hour last night were enable to track the robber who stole about 4000 from the American Express Ex-press cars near Western Union Junction last night Several clues were followed I up by them none of them resulting in anything however Fireman Averill and Conductor Tuckor are positive There were only two men who did the job and not six or more as originally stated Two combination safes were fouud intact and had been left behind by tho robbers They were evidently frightened away before be-fore they had a chance to blow the safes open The quantity of nitro giycereno which they left behind would have sufficed to open ten more safes equally as strong Claim Agent Barr of the St Paul road believes the robbery the work of Chicago crooks |
