Logan Firemens Excursion The Logan fire department held their annual picnicat Syracuse yesterday Nine coaches all filled to their greatest capacity arrived in Ogden at 1030 a m bound for the lake Tho boys came down with the expectation of having a royal good time as well as the large crowd that came with them Baskets filled with delicious eatables eat-ables were brought with them to be relished under the shady trees at the beach Their destination was reached about noon and after the tables were spread and cleared away some repaired to the lake to enjoy a refreshing salt water bath and others > assembled at the pavilion to dance to the music furnished them by the Logan orchestra orches-tra which was in attendance Other amusements such as foot races boat races shooting matches and ball playing were S participated in during the day It is estimated esti-mated that fully fifteen hundred people were out for the days recreation including includ-ing those from Ogden and Salt Lake The following named gentlemen constitute consti-tute the fire department Lute Farr chief engineer James Knowles hrst assistant H G Hayball second assistant C B Robins Joe Campbell John Ballif WillS Will-S Brown Don Vincent Ren Vincent Alfred Palmer Guy Thatcher Tom Smith David Crookston Daniel Crookston Charles Harris Har-ris Ezra Hyde William McAllister Will Hyde Andrew Wilson Tom Smith Lee I Thatcher Aaron Farr James Langton Lew Reese Walter S Lamereaux The dancing continued till 11 oclock last evening and the crowd then departed for their homes fully satisfied with the days outing
