PERTINENT QUESTIONS To the Editor of TIE HEIIALD I you had been led by designing persons actuated by a spirit of revenge into making a masligant attack through your paper upon a fellowman and he challenged you to produce your proof of your charges against him and you refused what do you think ought to be said of you 1 I after seeing the challenge you investigated the matter and found there were no proofs to offer and you refused to acknowledge the fact what do you think you would deserve Of course you know that to assassinate arsons pe a-rsons character is infinitely more murderous mur-derous than to cut his throat Of course I know you could never be guilty of such a thing but yet tho supposed case above is a real one The men who founded the Salt Lake Tribune telis me that he never saw anything in it so abusive as C C Good wins attack upon me Yet I politely asked the editor in an open letter through TiE HERALD two weeks ago to give his proofs and he remains silent What is the matter with the man Has he made a mistake mis-take and started for Washington supposing that it was he who had 9000 majority in tho lato snowstorm CHARLES ELLIS
