Show END OF A LONG SEARCH A Sister and Brother Meet After Year of Separation i James C McNealus night editor of the I Press News association in New York has recently found a sister from whom he had not heard for twentythree years and the circumstances are as strange as those usually usu-ally employed by the novelist When Tames C and Mary McNealus were 3 and 4 years old respectively their mother died and a few years later they found different homes James went to the far west and for some cause which they have never been able to discover the letters of both went astray at any rate were never deliveredand as the young woman had entered a con vent school and the young man was in Texas they completely lost trace of each other He married in Texas but after a few years his wife die and as soon as convenient conve-nient he visited the old neighborhood in Ulster county N Y where a former adMIt ad-MIt MNEALUS MRS MAnTA mirer of Mary furnished him a picture of her it ISand the information that she had married an art dealer in New York city but the name he could not give And that was all Nevertheless Mr McNealus secured se-cured a position in the city and entered on a long search among the art dealers At last he entered the picture establishment establish-ment of D J Marta on Eighth avenue and by the merest chance met the proprietors propri-etors wife Something in her features roused a hope yet he feared to speak till i he hadshowu her the old picture of herself I her-self She identified it at once and soon the mutual recognition was complete II Uncle Jim of Texas is now quite hero i with the Marta children I |
