Show V OBITUARY J HYDE On Wednesday morning the I 12th instant at his home in Kaysville Chart iC Hyde son of Rosel and Mary jm doles Hyde slept the sleep of death Ite was born May Sth lO inK ysville Utahtut although thus only 26 years of age his fine natural alilitic3 his studious habits his amiable disposition his rove for the Gospel and his manly honorable course secured to him alike the respect and admiration ad-miration and affection of all those amongst whom he grew up ti manhood > o man of his ae has attained to more sincere c nfl dence inthe hearts of those well acquainted with him than has he Such wellknown honorable men as John K Barnes J G M Barnes Ephrinn Ellison William Blood Bishop Barton and Thomas F Roueche who spoke at his funeral all attested the grandeur of his character and the brilliancy of his attainments And they all recognized recog-nized in him that surest of all evidences of true greatnes the most unassuming modcsty His life Was not like a n isv rushing stream attracting attention by its noise and foam but rather like the mountain Jke which receives within its iplaid and noiseleB depths the melD snows from a thous nd little rills and rivulets and dispenses them in one continuous con-tinuous stream to the beneficient use of the valleys beow Nor was he like the volcano which attracts attention to itself by its lurid discharge of smoke flame ashes and tones j butTftther like the mountain seen as a dim outline in the distance which as you approach ap-proach it is replete with lovely vales and peaceful glades and parks of useful timber and within its bosom with occasional ou cropplngs recognized only by the experienced ex-perienced eye lie hidden vast treasures of gold and silver and precious stones He held the ofliceof justice of the peace at the time of his death which office he lad successfully suc-cessfully tilled for several years he was aIm county surveyor In the church he held the office of a Seventy and officiated very effectively ef-fectively as a teacher in i his ward His influence in-fluence as president of the Young Mens Association As-sociation was very beneficial and extensive as he was in every respect an exemplar as well as a preceptor He taught school for a number of years in Kaysville and left his school room for his deathbed He dieS in full use of his consciousness to the last and his last words were Gods ways are not us mans ways His wife whom he leaves with two little children is the daughter of Wm W Galbraithi The universal esteem in which he was held brought together a concourse of people which filled the large meeting house of Kaysville and sixty carriages followed him to the grave KAYSVILLE RING WOOD Died in Twentieth Ward Salt Lake City UT V on the 19th day oj January 1S37 at 4 30 oclock pm ol x > ld age William Ringwood 90 years awl 9 I months ofage He was born in RainIng ham Norfilk England on the 1st day of May 1796 was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints on the 8th day of May 1851 by Elder John Lickorice was ordained to the tfffice of a teacher on the 12 h day of April 1854 and chosen clerk of the Norfolk branch on Au gus SOtho 1857 was ordained an elder Jebru ary 23th 1858 and on toe 8th of August the same year he was made treasurer of the branch and on the 29th of April 1SCO he was called to preside TIS president of the Norfolk branch He cime to Utah Augubt 17th 1871 and on the 26th of August 1876 was ordained a high priest The deceased has been confined to the house and quite feeble for a number of years past end at times has suffered a great denl of pain but has always been very patient and has never complained He was a Latterday Saint and passed away peacefully to rest firm in the faith and loved and respected by all who knew him He leaves wife nw in her 88th yen one son and three daughters twoof the daughters being now in England Notice of funeral services will be announced an-nounced hereafer Cost Millennial Star please cop |
