Show Forninst the Blacklist The committee on railroads of the Indiana Indi-ana legislature has reported favorably on a bill which is intended to apply directly to the Indianapolis railway companies that haVe entered into a compact not to again employ any of the switchmen who were discharged charged during the recent strike and to all other cases of blacklisting of discharged employees The bill provides that if any person agent company of corporation after having discharged an employee from his or its service shall prevent or attempt by word or writing of any kind such discharged dis-charged employee from obtaining employment employ-ment with another company or corporation except by furnishing writing on request a truthful statement as to the cause of his discharge such person agent or corpora tion shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine not exceeding > 500 nor less than 0 |
