| Show THE BROTHERHOODS I I The Locomotive Engineers Hold Secret Sessions FATAL RAILROAD ACCIDENT Proctor Knott Will Not Meet Galer Floquets SpeechThe Cherokee Chero-kee Strip Etc The Brotherhood Engineers CHICAGO December 2STl convention conven-tion of locomotive engineers representing represent-ing the Brotherhood west of the Missouri Mis-souri River commenced its session here today There were numerous gas g-as to the gathering but the delegates declared the only purpose in view was to establish closer relationship between the engineers of the east and southwest south-west and to solidify as much as possible the organization in that part of the country The proceedings of the meeting meet-ing were secret There seems to be however if outside gossip counts for anything little room for doubt that the real intention of the movement is to devise a new plan of campaign in behalf be-half of the Burlington strikers The step most favored apparently is to have an entirely new committee wait on the Burlingtons officials and endeavor en-deavor once more to induce a compromise compro-mise if possible It is possible the committee appointed at the Richmond convention may wait on the Burlington officials tomorrow |
