J f ' ' i I 1 CATHERINE LUND Enjoys Center FARMINGTON A Farmington woman who just finished celebrating her 90th birthday attributes a lot of the joy and zest in life to activities offered by the Davis County Council on Aging. CATHERINE LUND "discovered" "disc-overed" the Golden Years Senior Center in Bountiful ab-. ab-. out a year ago and now says - she "wouldn't miss the leisure : tours for anything." She's traveled to Elko twice and '- Jackpot once. i Not afraid to use her hands, she started ceramics a couple of months ago and has made several vases, a clock, a pair of sleeping babies and has re- "" ceived six orders from admirers admir-ers for Christmas. MRS. LUND was a participant partici-pant in the homebound program prog-ram until last fall. Under that, senior citizens who are unable " to leave their homes can re- ceive weekday noon meals and other assistance through the ' Council on Aging. But since she's discovered the center, x she hasn't wanted to stay, away. WHILE THERE was some adjustment for her at first, she says, that has turned into a desire de-sire to attend the center and become involved in its many activities. In addition to the Golden Years Center, senior citizens living in north Davis County can participate in similar functions, func-tions, including a hot weekday noon meal, at the Heritage Center in Clearfield.
