| Show THE REGISTRATION was reopened on Monday in the several precincts throughout the Territory aqd will continue con-tinue through the week In this city not more than fifty per cent of the citi t tens who possess the statutory qualifications qualifica-tions have registered It is not expected ex-pected that there will be anything like a full registration Hundreds cannot feel otherwise than that they are insulted in-sulted when asked to take the test oath and there are other hundreds who will not take the oath because of its imposition t position of obligations which they do A1 not propose to live up to But there are still hundreds who have broken co 1 q law who intend to break hone and ti a whose consciences do not interfere with their signing the oath Those should a register and if they will do so the election elec-tion next August may amount to something some-thing more than a mere handful of the people chosing the Legislators and naming the County and precinct officers 1 for the coming two years wi The 1eoples committees can do much in this matter and to their hands the greater part of the work must necessarily R k neces-sarily be committed A little energy x this week will increase the registration lists thirty per cent and the interest at stake should suggest the propriety of t that energy being displayed i |
