Show Brotherhood of Railu ay Brakemcn ST PAUL Oct 10 The important features fea-tures of this mornings session of the Brotherhood of Railway Brakemen were the officers reports which contained some important suggestions ViceGrand Master Mas-ter Slattery of Butte said he was in favor of changing tho name of the order to Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen as at least onethird of the membership is mace up of conductors baggagemoa and others Another of his recommendations is in regard re-gard to relief schemes that are just now being pushed forward by several of the leading railroads of this country namely the Philadelphia Reading Baltimore Ohio and Burlington Quincy His advice ad-vice to the members was for them to investigate in-vestigate all schemes of this kind carefully and he was sure they would arrive at the same conclusion regarding them as he had and that was to let them alone as they were only a snare to draw them on and make them slaves to their employer Chairman and Secretary and Treasurer OSheas report gave valuable statistics concerning con-cerning the growth and state of the order |
