Show Benefit Performance I There was a bigsized and good natured audience in attendance at the Third Ward Schoolhouse yesterday evening the proceeds being for the I benefit of the Young Mens Mutual Improvement Im-provement Association The applause and appreciation were equal to ths I situation and that is saying a great I deal for the performance altogether was a decided triumph for the I amateurs who devoted their time and attention to it Perhaps the most I prominent feature was the Tit Willow duet by Mr and Mrs J P Meakin which was rendered in an artistic style and was loudly encored Johnny has long been noted as a good seriocomic singer hereabout and the occasion referred to gave him an opportunity which he improved im-proved upon John Held gay an elegant ele-gant solo on the cornet which was well received Mr E P Johnson did some first class banjo workand the whole affair reflected great credit on the management Messrs J W Eardlev F C a ter and f J Hewlett |
