Show MYSTERIOUS ASSAULT j L > j Yellow Fever at Sonora Mexico jQYKCHIXG J OF A RAVISHER Transcontinental J ool EnssIa and Afglinnlstan = Mysterious Assault As-sault Retired The Pool ST PAUL September 11 General managers of lines forming the Transcontinental Trans-continental Association held a meeting this morning Another effort was made by representatives of the Southern and entral Pacific to have the matter of the award of percentages referred to the presidents of lines for final settlement but this was defeated by a majority vote They then offered a resolution to have general agents make out a balance sheet showing the operations of each line but this was also defeated A resolution reso-lution was then adopted by a majority vote that each line should make out a statement of its claim against the Southern Pacific for each of the six months from January 1st to June 30th and draw on that road for the amount due Stubbs of the Central Pacific notified each road not to make out such drafts and also notified them that if made out they would not be paid By agreement made by the previous meeting among the lines the business for July August and September Sep-tember was amicably adjusted the agreement being that settlements for these three months and not on the award of percentages made by Messrs Bogue Ford and Grey The general managers meeting then adjourned subject sub-ject to the call of the chairman General freight agents also held a meeting this morning Nothing but routine business was transacted The association will hold another meeting this afternoon to hear the representation representa-tion of Mr Sherb of California relative to the shipment of oranges east after hich the association will adjourn subject sub-ject to the call of the executive committee com-mittee and also subject to thirty days notice of withdrawal by any lino As yet no such notice of withdrawal has been given 1 |
