Show t M Gon iEiS NER L JI J OJbsequies of Ttie Unfortunate I Victim Has 1 Own Act Tie body of William C Godbe was brought to the l pity by specjal train arriving a little after midnight Sunday night I Mr and Mrs W S Godb VMr Samuel Mr Frank Godfae and Mrs BemHampton accompanied the corpse The funeral will take place from the residence of Mr W S Godbe on First South street between Sixth and Seventh East today Tuesday at 11 am Deceased was born June 7th 1863 consequently was between 22 and 23 years ofage The obsequies will be attended by relatives and friends the desire of the family beingthat as many as can possibly possi-bly find accommodation in the limited space afforded by reason of the brief time allowed for preparations may be present at the funeral It is understood that the funeral addresses will be delivered by Mr AV H Shearman Mr E L T Harrison and Prof Bener The music will be furnished fur-nished by Mr B B Young Madame Mazzucato Young and Mr and Mrs T J Mcintosh The particulars of the suicide do not differ materially from our account already al-ready given On Fridav night Mr W S Godbe retired early jiddmg i his son good night Willie as he was famil lary called stepped out of doors before the other members of the family retired re-tired and all supposed he had returned shortly afterwards and gone to bed himself Not till his dead body was found frozen stiff at the back of the smelter by a workman on the following morning with his pistol in his hand was anything to the contrary known The cause is attributed to a momentary insanity induced by overwork |
