Show THE NIBLEY CASE The Examination to Take Place This Morning As mentioned by our Logan correspondent corres-pondent in THE SUNDAY HERALD Mr C W Nibley of Logan was arrested at Pocatello by Deputy C J Bassett of Idaho on Friday evening He was brought to this city Saturday and Deputies Bassett and Greenbecoming his sureties he was released until yesterday yes-terday morning Tho warrant on which the arrest was made accuses Mr Nibley with having unlawfully cohabited cohab-ited with Beckie Nibley and Jane Doe lUcks Mr Nibley went before Commissioner Com-missioner McKay at 10 oclock and desired de-sired to waive an examination This was refused him and the case went over till 10 oclock this morning Deputy Vandercook having been dispatched to Logan for witnesess in the meantime An odd feature of this case is that the complaint was made in this city on October 29th that Mr Nibleys arrival here on November 1st was noted in the papers that he rem neJ = five days and appeared daily on the streets and that the arrest took place in Idaho on November No-vember 13th It would look somewhat as if the celebrated tactics of E Hurray H-urray when he was Marshal of Kentucky Ken-tucky in dragging men long distances for the purpose of multiplying fees had been adopted by the fee fiends in Utah I S |
