from 3 < toper i to-per cent higher than when closed on baturdav There was a further small advance in some cases and then there was an irregular decline of fractioal amounts except St Paul which fell 1 per cent Towards the end of the first hour the market again became strong but the movements have been active feverish and irregular Northern Pacific preferred has been conspicuous for its strength At 11 oclock the market was active and firm at opening figurss NEW YORK November 16Noon Stock market active and strong throughout through-out the past h ur the advances however how-ever being some of the ac i ve stocks declined from 34 to 7 percent per-cent The decline was checked somewhat some-what by 230 but the market remained feverish and inclined to be heavy u til fast before the Exchange t Ex-change The sales during the first two i hours of business probably were never I exceeded in the same length of time b The total sales of the day are nearly as 1 urge as those of Saturday was downward and although there were reactions the lowest quotations quota-tions i reached were in the List hour in many cases a few minutes betore the tire In the final dealings an upward tarn was
