Show Nigfettcfeool Of all the needs of this city none was more urgent than a good night school at which young men and boys who of necessity are compelled com-pelled to work during the week aid consequently unabled to attend day schools may prepare themselves for studies without the aid of an instructor in-structor In a country like this there is little excuse for not being educated the avenues for the acquirement ac-quirement of knowledge have multiplied multi-plied so rapidly in recent years and have become so accessible that a bright and energetic boy who has the intelligence to know what is best for him and the power to do that which his judgment tells him is best can readily acquire a basis for a thorough and general education educa-tion during succeeding year By means of night schools many of the brightest minds in recent times have received the foundation for future power and greatness and to those who have followed humbler walks in life thesa institutions by their influence in youth have resulted re-sulted in happy intelligent homes in Jater Yfarsthe intelligence which they fostered having given those boys who would attend power above their less educated persons It is therefore gratifying to know that the night school conducted by Miss May ells in the Constitution Building is doing remarkably well and that the young lady is conducting conduc-ting several large and intelligent classes We can have none too many of these institutions and those boys who are filled with the laudable ambition to acquire a rudimentary school knowledge will take advantage of any such an opportunity |
