Show Sunday School Union The usual monthly meeting held last evening in the Assembly Hall was of brief duration Opened with music by the Harmonica band after which the Thirteenth Yard School choir sang prayer by William Hennefer The choir sang again and the secretary called the roll Superintendent William Naylor resorted re-sorted the condition of the Thirteenth Ward Sunday School Number of enrolled en-rolled scholars 225 average attendance attend-ance 175 divided up into twentyone classestwo theological three Book of Mormon seven for books of the Faith Promoting series and nine various S S Union books using Church works in all the classes of the school Bishop Attwood and his counselors are constant con-stant in their kind endeavors to forward its interests The efforts have been successful suc-cessful but not so much so as had been anticipated Supt T E Taylor said the officers of the Union had overlooked the fact that a grand rally meeting was to be held on the same evening at the Theatre in this city Every one was interested in the political situation it was now 730 pm and it was therefore considered advisable advis-able to adjourn this meeting until the first Monday in December next The Thirteenth Ward choir will then supply the music and Professor Karl G Maeser will deliver the address intended in-tended for last evening |
