Show HE DRYER EXPOSITION We are gratified to learn that steps are being taken to have Utah represented at the National Mining and Industrial Exposition to beheld be-held during August and September Septem-ber this year Utah is equal to a grand display at the exhibition and it is hoped she will make such a stow as she is capable of doing Especially is it desirable that her mining and agricultural industries be fully represented fur on these almost exclusively must her future depend Perhaps les is known of Utah as a mining district than of any of neighbors She has never I 4 had what is described as a mining boom IIer progress it is true has been quite rapid but the advancement advance-ment has been slow in comparison to that of the surrounding states and territories This may have been better for Utah indeed we believe it has or will prove so in the end Her fame stands upon development and real merit There has been little tooting of horns Her mineral output speaks daily for her and is slowly but surely bringing her before the world as one of the richest sections sec-tions of United States territory A eri culturally Utah is also fast n coming to the front the products of I her soil finding their way into various vari-ous markets east west and north of us In the Denver exposition she will have an opportunity for giving the world an insight to her vast possibilities and probabilities The exhibition promises to be one of the most important yet held in this country It is one of the leading attractions of the year and will bring many people from EuroPQ as well as thousands from the American Ameri-can states If the Utah people those of them engaged or interested in her manufacturing and mining will exert themselves a little a display dis-play may be made that will not only do credit to the country in fairly representing her but such au one as will excite inquiry and attract capital capi-tal to our borders |
