Show Shocking Casualty SPANISH FORK June 71883 Editors Herald A most heartrending and fatal accident happened here between G and 7 oclock this morning Two I young boys William and Wilfor Bayack aged 19 and 11 had been watering in the field west of th town and provious to going to breakfast watered their horses which had been staked out during the nightand were restaking them The oldest boy William driving a stake 1Vnford was on the other horse close by when the horse became be-came frightened and threw him to the ground and as the rope which was about forty feet long uncoiled from off the little fellows arm the loop on he end which it seems he had on his arm tightened on his wrist and in this position he was dragged r mile over sage brush rocks and through Spanish Fork River on the bank of which the horse came to a standstill The brother mounted the other horse and followed with all possible speed but when he came up to the body all signs of life were gone The scalp was torn from the head the scull crushed in several nlaces and the faeeunrecognizableThe funeral will take place tomorrow at 10 oclock GEA |
