Show Going to Leave Mr Thomas Harris one of the pleasantestand most popular of the employees of the Salt Lake Theatre is about to quit his post not because be-cause of any disagreement nor owing ow-ing to weariness but for the < j reason that he has decided to leave Salt Lake permanently as a place of residerfce For years Mr Harris has been the principal doorkeeper of the Salt Lake Theatre and while it is a position which is very exacting and trying bringing him in constant association with the public placing him in a position where the chances were strongly ii favor of his growing into disfavor he has steadily grownsmore popular with the patrons of that house Uniform < Uni-form courtesy and kindness ever under circumstances that would develop a mans bad temper have been his characteristics and we are confident that the announcement of his intention of severing his connection connec-tion with the Theatreeven incapacity a in-capacity so generally triflingwIll cause genuine regret with the public pub-lic and the management of that house the former in missing his proverbial urbanity the latter in losing a faithful and trustworthy employee Mr Harris will locate in Ogd nand n-and though he has advanced in years he is plucky and proposes to see if he cannot obtain in a new place o that whichthough well known and hghlyesteetnedhe failed to secure herea fair living It is a matter for regret that a man of kifl age once worth close on 1000 OOoa11 lost in six months when the war closed should be compelled to labor for a livelihood for himself and family but that he should setout set-out boldly again to retrieve a great lossaU along borne with content and that too by starting in a place among strangers gives evidence evi-dence of grit that many a young man could emulate with a vast deal of credit That he may be successful I success-ful everyone who knows him will ardently desire and the assurance of that success will be received with I unfeigned pleasure I |
