Show Resolutions ot Eespect Resolutions passed by the City Council of American Fork City in relation to Hon L E Harrington exMayor of American Fork City deceased June 2lst 1883 Whereas In His providence Almighty Al-mighty God has seen fit to call away our tried and worthy friend and brother Hon Bishop L E Harrington exMayor of this city who has held said position for twentynine consecutive years filling fil-ling the same with honor ability and zeal and likewise laying a sure and solid foundation for the present and future prosperity of our city andWhereas Whereas His valuable and fatherly counsels and the esteem and high regard in which he was held demand an expression in behalf be-half of the people of this city Therefore resolved 1stThat in the death of Hon L E Harrington the people of American Fork City have lost a kind father and a trusty councillor one who was ever zealous zeal-ous in their cause and who for twentynine years represented them in the Legislature of this Territory in the councils of which his ability and sound judgment were always recognized 2d That while we keenly feel the loss of such a councillor we acknowledge ac-knowledge the hand of Divine Providence Pro-vidence therein and hereby extend our heartfelt sympathy to his bereaved be-reaved and deserving family in whose behalf we implore the blessing bless-ing of a benevolent and allwise God 3dThat a copy of these resolutions resolu-tions be sent each to the Salt Lake i HERALD JDeseret News and Enquirer En-quirer and also to the family of our lamented and departed brother OSCAR F RUNnER rERMavor < Mayor GEOEGE CUNNINGHAM JAMES E SIEEL SIEELAldermen Aldermen JAMES GARDNER WILLIAM S ROBINSON SIMPSON MILENER Councillors E A HENRIOD City Recorder i |
