Show Reid Announces Candidacy For County Commissioner BOUNTIFUL Dick Reid, 51, of 497 E. 1130 N., Bountiful announced his candidacy can-didacy Tuesday for the 4-year-term as Davis County Commissioner. Com-missioner. He will file as a Republican. Re-publican. A NATIVE of Davis County, Mr. Reid was born in Clinton and was reared and educated in north Davis County. He moved to Bountiful 27 years ago. He is a graduate of Davis High School and attended Weber We-ber State College and BYU. He was senior class president at Davis High in 1946. MR. REID worked for his father and later became involved in-volved in the furniture busi ness and real estate. He is presently pre-sently a real estate salesman. "I have been interested in politics all my life, but this is my first attempt at being an active ac-tive candidate," he said. "I have served both as a county and state delegate to the Republican Re-publican Party." MR. REID said he favors no special interest groups and his political views could be termed "moderate." "I feel that I have a good background and I am qualified for the job I seek," he said. He is active in church and community affairs and is a past president of the Bountiful Ser-toma Ser-toma Club. He is married to the former Ila Parker and they have nine children. |
