Show Centerville The hundreds of Centerville residents who attended the Davis County Fair on the Lagoon Fairgrounds last weekend found all the displays and activities enjoyable. en-joyable. Everyone who went to Lagoon on Centerville Stake Lagoon Day had a marvelous time. At 6:30, several hundred people met at the Oak Terrace, each family with their own dinner, for drawings for many lovely gifts and ice cream sandwiches. sand-wiches. The Stake provided the gifts and dessert. There were blankets, a crock pot, a hibachi, a cookie jar, and a few other items, each to the delight of some lucky winner. Glen and Virginia Stacey and their six children had an exciting vacation for ten days recently. They drove to California where they stayed with Virginia's brother and his family, Richard Raymond, in Brea, close to Anaheim. While there they visited Sea World and Tijuana. They also had a fun day riding the rides and seeing the displays of Disneyland. Spending time on the beach and going to a Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game added to the exciting time they all had. Glen had planned to go deep sea fishing but couldn't the last minute because of the weather caused by tropical storm Doreen. |
