Youth of the 1st Ward enjoyed en-joyed a river trip recently under the direction of Pat Beckstead and Ron Stringham. The firstborn to Terry and Linda White, 3327 S. 200 W is a daughter whom they have named Darcy Ann. The new mother is from Bountiful, with her parents, David and Jetta White, living nearby in Bountiful. Terry comes from Boise, Idaho. Val and Sharon Lindsay's sixth child, a son Christopher Val, was born on July 28 shortly before their scheduled move to Provo where Val is chorus director and scripting for the BYU program bureau. Also moving with them are their five children Jeff, Pam, Mark, Danny and Erika. Terry and Linda White spent 10 days at Lake Tahoe. A sister took charge of their new baby during their absence. ab-sence. Firstborn on Aug. 5 to Mark and Corinne Green, 4237 S. Orchard, is Andrea. Mark is a son of Floyd and Alice Green, Val Verda. Grandparents Ralph and Fay House also live in this area. More news from the Green family is that Mark's older brother Gary just finished his second year of Law School at the University of Chicago. He is married to a French girl whom he met while on his mission to French Tahiti. Recently there was excitement ex-citement in the neighborhood when fire broke out in an almost al-most finished home in Val Verda. Fortunately, damage was limited to the garage and attic. It is believed that children were playing with matches. Investigation is proceeding. Damon and Sunny Bryati have a new baby brother, J a red Ivan, born to their parents, Eric and Susan Bryson, 2241 S. 500 West. Susan comes from Dolton, III.; but the paternal grandparents, grand-parents, Ivan and Violet Bryson live next door. Doug and Joan Smith, 18 East 3300 South are parents of a daughter Heather Ann. He has an older brother Andrew 4. Both parents are from Ogden. Og-den. Pioneering into the world on "Pioneer Day" July 24 was Mark William, son of Marvin and Nora Jackson, 3738 Monarch Dr. Their older children are Dennis, Kitty and Joy. Nora's mother from Upland, Calif, has been visiting visit-ing and helping out. Marvin is also from southern California, Redlands.
