Unin-corp. Assoc. meeting last week. Next meeting will be at the same location (library north of Bountiful City Hall) in the fourth week of Sept. on Tues. or Thurs. Wednesday nights for several months have been reserved by another group, which necessitates neces-sitates a temporary change of meeting night. A design for the restored arch was selected by those present, which is more attractive, at-tractive, higher, but just as sturdy as the former arch. Students continued to excel themselves at the Val Verda Swim School during August. Students receiving recognition recogni-tion at the final parents' demonstration and awards program on Aug. 26 included John Brasher, Lora Lyn Mcintosh, JanaLee Jones, Walt Johnson, Randall Thacker Lisa Eriksson, Scott Wilson, Johnny Lindsley, Brett Henrichsen, David Reay, Veronica Sharp, Justin Shaw, Ginna Parlett, Brian Jensen, Shane Dolar, Matt Parking and Cindy Schmidt for outstanding progress during dur-ing the 5th and 6th sessions. Best swimmer of the month awards were given to Christopher Chris-topher Birrell, and Corey Hiatt who also received the trophy for the season s Best Swimmer." Jeff Peterson was close runner up. Fear Mastery' certificates cer-tificates were awarded to Sandra Cross, Carrie Hayes and Scott Wilson. Sandra Cross also received the season's trophy for fear mastery. mas-tery. "Most Improved swimmer for 5th session was Cindy Schmidt and Christine Schneider who made the most skill level advancement in the 6th session. . Twenty perfect attendance certificates were awarded in the fifth session and 15 in the sixth and final session. Five Boy Scout swimming merit badges were earned and will be received at their respective respec-tive courts of honor by: Scott Kearns, Corey Hiatt, Jeff Peterson, Pe-terson, Alan Beauregard and Todd Samuelson. Corey Hiatt and Scott Kearns also qualified for the Scout mile swim award and Robbie Schmidt and Walt Johnson also swam the mile non-stop and received special recognition, but are too young for the scout award. Special honors were accorded ac-corded 20 students who drownproofed for the 15 min "Survival swim" award: Nick Parkin, Patrick Campbell, Camp-bell, Chad Greenhalgh, Chrissy, Kenny and David Grover, Scott Kearns, Mary Kay & Christine Schneider, Brett Henrickson, JanaLee Jones, Walt Johnson, Sean Macklyn, Cindy and Robbie Schmidt, Angie Steurer, Vance Vallace, Ricky Carey, Brandon & Heather Hobbs. Red Cross beginner cards were earned by 20 students, including: Mike Nelson, Nicky Parkin, Kent Lee Vallace, Chad Greenhalgh, Heather Hinckley, David Reay, Mary Kay Schneider, and Jennifer Hanson. Twenty advanced beginner certificates were awarded to Kenny, David and Chrissy Grover, Mike Birrell, Brett Henrichsen, JanaLee Jones, Sean Macklyn, Patrick Campbell, Cindy Schmidt, Bonnie & Marie Ford. Seventeen Seven-teen intermediate cer- ' tificates were given to Barton Thacker, Merry Lynn Eriksson, Eriks-son, Chris & John Birrell, Walt Johnson, Vance Vallace, Ricky Carey, Kristin Hinckley, Brandon & Heather Hobbs and Christine ' Schneider.
