Show MORONI By Special Correspondence "True Heaven" starring George O'Brien and Lois Moran will be shown Sunday and Monday March 2nd and 3rd at the Kozy Theatre. Mr. and Mrs. Reid Collard announce an-nounce the birth of a baby girl. Mrs. Collard was formerly Miss Ada Faux of this city. Mr. Ottis Bradley announces the marriage of his daughter Beth o Mr. Don Hansen of Fountain Green. Burnis Hardy who is employed by the Woolworth Company at Logan, spent the weekend with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. James Hardy. Mr. and Mrs. Iller Christensen of Spanish Fork are visiting relatives and friends in Moroni this week. Moroni high school undefeated basket ball team, have another game to their credit, winning from Wasatch Was-atch Academy Thursday evening. Moroni High plays two more games this season. Wednesday evening the Lions club met at the Moroni House. Business Busi-ness matters were taken up and discussed. dis-cussed. The club is working hard to build a bathing resort, and are now looking for a favorable site on which to build it. Dinner was served at 7:30 p. m to sixteen members. Special guests were Mrs. Blaine Draper, Mrs. Marvin Mar-vin Anderson and Neldon Simpson. The Sorosis club held a business meeting Thursday afternoon at the club rooms. Mrs. Blaine Draper and Mrs. Ellis Draper were the hostesses hos-tesses and served refreshments to the following members: Mrs. Cleon Anderson, Mrs. E. W. Stucki, Mrs. John R. Blackham, Mrs. Mert Draper, Dra-per, Mrs. Marvin Anderson, Mi's. Gene Despain, Mrs. Mozart Larsen, Mrs. Lloyd Blackham, Mrs. Ernest Blackham, Mrs. E. D. Anderson, and Mrs. Lewis Blackham. Mrs. James Prestwich was a special guest. The Moroni Stake conference was held Saturday evening and Sunday. It was very well attended in spite of the stormy weather. At the Sunday afternoon session 476 people were present. Mr. Thomas Blackham and son Ardell Blackham have returned from San Francisco. California, where they attended a Erigidire convention. |
