Show "DAMON AND PYTHIAS". The intensely interesting drama of Damon and Pythias, or The Test of True Friendship," after careful and thorough rehearsal, will be put upon the boards of our theatre, by the Logan Dramatic Club, on Friday evening, March 11th, with Messrs. G. J. Bywater and R. Kirkham in the title roles. The character of "Damon" is Mr. Bywater's specialty, and as he has played it a great number of times, he has acquired a most thorough conception of it. This will be, beyond a doubt, the best and most interesting performance yet given by the Club, and to all those who wish to enjoy a first-class entertainment, we would say, go and witness it. It is a drama that inculcates the highest lesson of true, noble and chivalric friendship, and is replete with the purest and loftiest moral sentiment, and is of that class of plays that strongly tend to elevate and ennoble. We are pleased to see our home company select such pieces. |
