Already murmurs of dissatisfaction dissatis-faction are heard in tho Democratic camp, and the indications are that there will bo three tickets in the field, in which event the Republicans will carry tho State with ease. Attorney general Williams is making a vigorous canvas, not only with a view to carry tho Stato for Grant in the coming Presidential election, but it is supposed that he has a desire to succeed Corbett in the United States Senate. General Gener-al Williams is an able politician, and . many of his coadjutors are effective stumpers, and tho Kepublican party is in a harmonious condition. On the other hand, although the Democratic party is in tho majority, and contains able men in its ranks, two seasons of success have germinated dissensions which mz?, and will most likely, result in a Republican victory. |
