I pledge support to all legislative measures condu- k cive to their welfare. g 1 INDUSTRY: Industry must be maintained in Utah. I pledge 1 myself to aid and encourage new industry, even I through adjustment and concession, that Utah's I youth may have employment, and remain in the 1 MINING: i As the greatest natural resource in Utah, mining B must be kept active. Nothing shall be done with my I consent that curtails any form of mining activity. 1 EDUCATION : I I favor an educational program for our children I and the school teaching profession that will provide i equal educational advantages and opportunities with those of other localities in this State. I ROADS: 1 I Improved roads are a nuodern business necessity. 1 I pledge myself to the building and maintenance ox H 1 more adequate highways, not overlooking farm to s I market roads to increase the value of farms. i I FISH AND GAME: I I believe in the perpetuation of Utah's fishing C B and hunting resources. Our streams and lakes 1 should be more plentifully restocked, and wild game I protected. Particularly will I work for the main- tenance of -the Clear Lake Fish and Game Refuge K I which serves Millard and Beaver Counties. i Any differences between livestock interests and S j sportsmen can be amicably and satisfactorily ad- a justed. tj OLD AGE ASSISTANCE: I favor Old Age Assistance.
