She has also attended Ricks College and BYU in Hawaii. Steven is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Howlett of Draper and has grad-utefrom Jordan high. He has also filled an LDS Mission to Chicago, Illinois. The couple was honored that evening at a reception at the Magna Central Stake Center. They will be further honored at an open house on March 7 in Corona, California. Attending the bride as matron of honor was Dianne Parkinson while Chris H. Lunt was best man for the groom. Bridesmaids were Sherrie Nye, Karen LeBaron, Vickie Nye, Kathy Rainwater and Janette Seager. The flower girl was Melonie Rainwater. By Friends Unlimited The monthly luncheon for Friends Unlimited will be held Wednesday, March 18 at 11:30 a m. at the Ram-ad- a Inn, which is located at 999 So. Main, Salt Lake. They are inviting all ladies who have recently arrived in the Salt Lake area, or others who would like to meet new friends to attend this function. The program will be a spring style show with fashions being modeled by club members. Cost of the luncheon will be $6. Cindy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Nye of Magna and is a graduate of Cyprus high. She has attended Utah State University and is presently employed at a bank in Provo. Marking his 80th birthday, Saturday, March 7, is William R. Carsey. His children are inviting his friends and relatives to join them at an open house in his honor on March 14, at Pioneer Hall, 1140 W. 7800 South, West Jordan, from the hours of 3 to 7 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Carsey are residents of South Jordan, but they previously resided in Murray for over twenty years. William has done a variety of things in his 80 years. He was a professional singer and had his own band when he was a young man. Upon entering World War II he used his talents to entertain the troups around the country. After his return from the war he and his friend Rulon Jackson formed a partnership and together went around the state singing and doing impressions. Williams favorite impression was of A1 Jolson. On November 14, 1950, he married Vonda Roper and they settled down in Murray. The Carseys have six children. They are Darlene Parks and George Carsey of Murray; LaRae Childs of Midvale; Susan Carsey, South Jordan; Raymond Carsey of Wyoming and Norman of Kearns. The Carsey family ran a carnival that many people in the Murray area remember well. It was called Carseys Ponies and Trackless Trains. The entire family worked, with the children running the trains, Steven is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Seager of Corona, California and is a graduate of Corona high. He has attended BYU and filled an LDS Mission to the New England states. Steven is now employed in Provo. The new Mr. and Mrs. Seager honeymooned in Southern California and will make their home in Provo. William R. William also worked for Kennecott Copper for 36 years as a repairman, on the ore cars and in the smelter. William has been an active member of the LDS church and has served two missions, one to the southern states and one to the central states. A reception was held that evening at the same site and a rehearsal dinner was earlier hosted at Red Forest Restaurant for the wedding party. Attendants for the bride were Chris Truscott, Jenny Winterrose and Lori Fehr while the maid of honor was Sandy Zarbock. Jamie Nielsen attended the guest book. Sherm Curtis was best man, while Keith Huber, Dave Avery, Mike Morrill and Dave Huber ushered. Kristy is the daughter of Marlene Avery of Holladay and Ace Avery of Sandy. She is currently a student body officer at Cottonwood high and a member of the Drill Team. Kristy is also the advertising editor of the Colt Roundup. Ronald is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo R. Huber and a graduate of Cottonwood high. He is presently attending Ricks College and is a member of the varsity football team. While Ron was a student at Cottonwood he was an A S.C. officer.
