Each one of us contribute to our share of the sewing and each of us has others we trust do sewing for us when extra help is needed. As the business grew, Colleen felt the need to keep better records and after talking it over, she began keeping the books, buying the materials, and most of the business end. The other gals didnt want any part of it, she continues, so it worked out well. As for my contribution, say Colleen, I designed the carrier cover and the Luv wrapper. Gayle states that the business though exciting and challenging can also be a headache. I could spend all of my waking hours sewing, doing needle work or crafts of some kind. It is fun to work at something that excites your husband and children as much as it does Luv-A-Kin- One cannot measure friendship It grows inch by inch, yard by yard, and can be sew rew arding ' These words are echoed by four ladies, Frances Mitchner, Linda Pugmire, Gayle Thomas, and Colleen Zohell, who have joined together to form a company by the name of Luv-Kins They are an unlikely four to get together, yet each one has a unique talent she contributes to their business The name of the products, indicates how they feel about children They make baby quilts, crib covers, diaper bags, diaper Luv wrappers, Luv stackers, pats, carrier covers and changing-tablpads. The idea began with Frances. She is the mother of five, Granny-Franni- e to eight grandchildren and says the idea originated because of a lesson given in Relief Society. The lesson encouraged women to develop any artistic abilities they possess The catalystic words were, Do the thing you want to do now! Don't put it otf -- dont delay - fill the need and desires you have within you According to Frances, The lesson didnt mean the same to everyone, thank heavens!
