But he also warned that despite the increase in collection fees, there may be some types of trash that will not be picked up by regular garbage crews that serve the city. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Robins have been fortunate enough to get to make two trips to opposite parts of our country this past month. Three weeks ago, Mr. and Mrs. Robins went to Georgia where Mr. Robins picked up a new school bus and some replacement parts for buses. He drives a school bus for the Davis School District. Mrs. Helen Barton of Kaysville and Leonard Weyland of Morgan were married Oct. 6 in Santa Ana, Calif. They visited with Mrs. Bartons daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Norman E. Smith in son-in-la- ward conferences. Last Sunday, the Layton Second Ward conference was held. Many of the officers in this ward are new to their positions and so .the ward conference was a challenging experience for them. Jon Philoneno, a native of Brazil who is now living in Murray, was a recent guest in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mr. Haven J. Barlow. Philoneno became acquainted with the Barlow family when Heidi Barlow was in Brazil. His brother and sister have lived in the Barlow home. Mrs. Diatra Wilko hosted a tasting party for some of her neighbors last Thursday evening. The guests sampled dehydrated foods that are normally thought of as long term storage items. Many of the products could be used economically on a regular daily basis. Mrs. Ruby Price was hospitalized last Monday to undergo some diagnostic tests. Mr?. Mildred Bates hosted members of her chapter of Beta Sigma Phi at a Japanese party held in her home. The house was decorated around a Japanese theme.
