Show President Hissed at a Boer Meeting:. At a meeting of Boer sympathizers at Cooper Union, New York, at whioh George M. Van Hoesen presided, Montagu Mon-tagu White, the Boer representative, John E. Mulhollnnd and P. Louterb Wessels, representative of the Orange Free State, made speeches. Mr. Van Hoesen prophesied that "not until all the Boers are in their graves or all the English arc in flight will the war be over." President McKinley's name was hissed and hooted and the mention of Bryan's name brought forth cheers. |
