Show MESQU1TE, Nev. Mrs. Daisy L. Keber Reporter Carlos Knight, who has been working in the St. George Temple was brought home Monday evening eve-ning suffering with influenza. Ira and Calvin Rober spent Sunday and Monday in Las Vegas on business. A farewell party was held Saturday Sat-urday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Frehner, honoring Fay Leavitt. Pot-luck lunch was served to 14 couples. The group presented Mr. Leavitt with an identification bracelet. Jack Riley arrived Sunday from Farragut, Ida., where he has just completed his boot training, to spend several days' leave with Mrs. Riley, the former Mary Ann Leavitt. The ward Relief Society held a party Tuesday afternoon as a result re-sult of an attendance contest just concluded. The south side lost and thereby furnished refreshments re-freshments for the group. Ward conference was held here Sunday with Robert O. Gibson of the stake presidency and Eldon Larson of Las Vegas as special speakers. Fay Leavitt also gave a short talk. |
