Show Dewey Still In the Dark. Washington. April 25. From a dispatch dis-patch received by Secretary Long from Admiral Dewey, it is evident that the latter is still in the dark respecting the whereabouts of Lieutenant Gilraore and party of the Yorktown, who, it is thought, were ambushed and captured by a party of Filipinos while on a voyage voy-age to rescue Spanish prisoners neai Baler. The Admiral says he isendeav-oring isendeav-oring to ascertain the situation of the lieutenant and his party but has so far been unsuccessful. |
