Show Many Attend Marriage of Miss Rose Leavitt And Glen McAllister Tuesday A large group of relatives and friends gathered at the St. George Temple on Tuesday, October S, to witness the marriage of Miss Rose Leavitt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Leavitt of Gunlock to Glen McAllister, son of Graham B. McAllister of Gunlock. The ceremony was read by Pres. Harold Har-old S. Snow. For her marriage the bride wore a floor-length gown of white silk jersey with a sweeping train. She wore a corsage of white and pink rosebuds. Immediately following the wedding ceremony, the bride and groom left for Las Vegas, where Mr. McAllister is employed, and where they will make their home. The bride's traveling outfit was of black and white English tweed with matching accessories. The evening before the marriage, mar-riage, a social was given at Gun-lock Gun-lock in honor of the young couple by the parents of the bride. The evening was spent in dancing with singing by Marion Bowler and Melvin Leavitt. The bride-to-be was charming in a blue chiffon evening gown. Many beautiful gifts were presented to the couple by the guests present. Saturday evening Norda Gibson and Rena Nielsen were co-hostesses at a miscellaneous shower given for Miss Leavitt. The evening eve-ning was spent playing games, after which light refreshments were served to the ten guests present. The group, which consisted of her closest friends, presented her with many beautiful and useful gifts. |
