Show Miss Betty Foote and Sgt. Wendell A. Motter Marry Feb. 22nd In Seattle The Queen Ann ward chapel in Seattle was the setting chosen by Sgt. Wendell A. Motter, nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. T. Atkin Jr., of St. George and Miss Betty Foote, I daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Foote, also of St. George, for ex- I change of their marriage vows j Tuesday evening, Feb. 22nd, with Bishop Clark M. Wood of that ward performing the ceremony. The church was artistically decorated dec-orated for the event, with music from the organ accompanying the reading of the ceremony, which was witnessed by a small group of relatives and friends. Enroute to Seattle, Miss Foote was joined in Portland by her father, Harold Foote, who is employed em-ployed in eastern Washington, and by an adopted aunt, Mrs. Katie Brower of Portland. Miss Mary Pople was maid of honor and Albert Heming was best man. Following the ceremony the wedding party had a dinner at the Olympic night club in Seattle. Since coming to St. George Miss Foote attended Dixie junior college and was employed as accountant ac-countant for the St. George Wasatch Wa-satch Oil distributors before leaving leav-ing for Seattle to wed Sgt. Motter. Mot-ter. The groom is a former Dixie college graduate, and spent nearly three years in Alaska in communications com-munications service before returning return-ing to Seattle where he is in charge of the military school of communcations. For the present they will make their home in Seattle. |
