Show Funeral Services Held In South Ward Chapel For Saint George Wells Bp. Andrew McArthur presided at the funeral services held in the South ward chapel Thursday, March 1, at 2 p. m. for Saint George Wells. 76, who died Sunday Sun-day of ailments incident to age, at the Anderson Rest Home. There were many floral offerings. Music numbers were a vocal duet, "Jesus Is Calling" by Mr. and Mrs. Pratt Miles; solo. "Oh My Father," by Vernon Worthen with Mrs. Mae Pace accompany-, ing; violin solo, "Jesus. I My Cross Have Taken" by Mrs. Ellis Everett accompanied by Wm. T. Morris Jr.; and organ solo. "Memories "Mem-ories of Galilee" by Mr. Morris. Speakers were Pres. Harold S. Snow and Patriarch George E. Miles. Both sermonized on the eternity of life, the plan of salva-; tion established by Christ and the ; duty of mankind to replenish the j earth and fulfill other command-1 ments. They paid tribute to Mr. Wells as a man who has lived the gospel and has left a sound pattern pat-tern of life for his children to follow. They also commended the life of Mrs. Wells, who died in ! 1942, telling of the community and church activities of both, and of their love for their children, their integrity and their pioneer experiences. Prayers were by Supt. Milton E. Moody and Dr. W. J. Reich- J mann. The grave in the St. George ' City cemetery was dedicated by j Ernest Wells of Logandale, New |
