Show Funeral Services Held In Mt. Trumbull for Peter Martin Iverson MT. TRUMBULL, Ariz. Funeral services for Peter Martin Iverson were held in the Mt. Trumbull ward hall, Thursday, Aug. 3rd, with Bishop Chester Bundy eon-ducting, eon-ducting, assisted by Roy Bundy. Mr. Iverson died in St. George, Tuesday, Aug. 1st, of complications complica-tions following heat exhaustion. Singing for the services was by the congregation and included, "Oh, My Father", "Secret Prayer", "I Know My Heavenly Father Knows", and "Prayer Is the Soul's Sincere Desire", the latter being sung at the graveside. First speaker was Bishop Bundy who told of his long association with Mr. Iverson, who at the time of his death was first counselor coun-selor in the Mt. Trumbull bishopric, bish-opric, and for whom he had acquired ac-quired the love of a brother. He told of this man's affection for his family, his sincerity in his religion, his thoughtful consideration consider-ation for both old and young, and kindness to all who came his way, relating many instances of his good deeds. Wallace Iverson of Washington, a half-brother, who sermonized on the rewards of right living, praised his brother for his kindly, unselfish un-selfish life of service, his patience, generosity, humility and fairness. Roy Bundy spoke of his intimate inti-mate association with Mr. Iverson since he was age 11, when they attended school together, and paid tribute to his lifelong friend, coworker co-worker and neighbor, also relating relat-ing many instances of their lives. Pres. Harold S. Snow of St. George delivered a message of sympathy from the stake presidency presi-dency and high council, who, he said, appreciated Mr. Iverson for his sound judgment, sturdy and honest way of life, giving scriptural scrip-tural and other items as evidence of immortality of man, and the message of Christianity. Prayers By Mr. Bundy Prayers were by Abraham Bundy of St. George, father-in-law of Mr. Iverson.. The grave in the Mt. Trumbull cemetery was dedicated by James Bundy. Attending the services from out-of-town were: Wallace Iverson and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Iverson of Washington; Abraham Bundy, Mrs. Mamie May, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Iverson, Willard Iverson, Mrs. Hy-rum Hy-rum Cox and two children. Pres. Harold S. Snow, Julina Aldridge and Lafe VanLeuven, all of St. George. |
