Show Funeral Service Held At Mesquite Tuesday For Mrs. Almeda Barnum j MESQUITE, Nev. Funeral ser-I vices were held at the school house in Mesquite at 2 o'clock Tuesday for Mrs. Wealtha Almeda "Mede" Barnum, who died at her home Saturday evening after a long illness. After the funeral services, burial took place at the Mesquite cemetery, Mrs. Barnum, who was 58 years old, was born in Kanab, Utah, and had resided in Southern Nevada most of her life. She is survived by one son, Dallas Barnum, Bar-num, of Mesquite; one brother, Dan Potter, of Las Vegas, and one sister, Mrs. Essie Jensen, of Westside. Mrs. Barnum provided a home and reared two other children chil-dren besides her own son, who survive her. They are Mike Bums, of Mesquite and Irma Barlow, of Mesquite. Her husband, the late John Barnum, was killed in a mine accident at Tonopah about 14 years ago. Mrs. Barnum had been in failing health for several months, but had been critically ill for only a short time before she died. |
