Show ASIIBY SNOW, DIXIE PIONEER, DIES AT SALT LAKE HOME Ashby Snow, 69, son of the great colonizer, Erastus Snow, died at his home in Salt Lake City yesterday. He had been sick for two years prior to his death. Mr. Snow was born in St. George, September 19, 18 67, son of Elizabeth Pymn and Erastus Snow. He received his education educa-tion in the local schools and then attended the B. Y. U. He later studied law at Ann Arbor, Michigan. Michi-gan. As a young man he showed a keen sense for business and was manager of the local Co-op. one of the early-day mercantile institutions in-stitutions of this city. Throughout Through-out his life he was a business leader and of late years has been at the head of several of the state's businesses. He is reported es having been one of the state's richest men. . He was a half brother to Joseph Jos-eph Snow, member of the state utilities commission, who has extensive ex-tensive interests in this section. |
