Show enteIseWeer 01ed lastt1rsday John Day, 68, Passes from the Results of Chronic Asthma. John Day, aged 68, died last Thursday at the home of his son, Henry, at Enterprise. Death was the result of chronic asthma, from which he had been a sufferer for several years. Mr. Day was one of the early pioneers of Enterprise, settling in that town about ffity years ago. and was the first postmaster and -reVoprvpT He was married in 1894 to Mrs. Philena Canfield Em- mett, and several years after her death was married to Sarah Tate, who died about six years ago. j He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Elmer Hunt, and two sons, John and Henry, ail of Enterprise, Enter-prise, and four step-childTen, Carl and Don iEmmett, Elsie Emmett, and Olive Knell, children of his first wife, and a brother, Frank, of Mesa, Ariz. - |
