Show AGED MISSIONARY DIES Miss Francis Rosalie Burke, 82 years old. died last Saturday at the home of Miss Louisa Conklin, the Presbyterian missionary here. Miss Burke had been Presbyterian missionary over 40 years at Toquer-ville, Toquer-ville, where she had a little home on two acres of land. About 14 months ago she was brought to the home of Miss Conklin at the Presbyterian mission mis-sion here on account of illness. She was very highly respected and so far as the News can learn lived for the good she could do unto others. So far as known she leaves no relatives. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian chapel here Sunday at 7:30 p. m. conducted by Rev. Dr. Paden of Salt Lake City and Rev. E. P. Gieser of Cedar City. Mrs. Sie-bert Sie-bert of Cedar City sang the three favorite hymns of Miss Burke. Burial Bur-ial was made in the Toquerville cemetery ceme-tery Monday. Miss Conklin had been most devoted devot-ed to Miss Burke, her kindly nature helping to make the last days of the aged missionary as pleasant as possible. |
