Show New Mining Company. The Copper Mountain Mining & Smelting Co. has been organised with J. A. Swapp, N. Johnson, H. S. Marshall, Mar-shall, Enoch Reynolds, and James Ahlstrom, ' all of Tropic, Garfield county, and C. D. White, of Beaver, as its members. To a representative of this.paper, Mr. Swapp said that a high-grade high-grade class" of copper ore was being obtained, ob-tained, and it was the intention of the company to ship from 30 to 60 tons of ore, averaging about 40 per cent copper, cop-per, in about fifteen days. The company com-pany intend putting in a smelter as early as possible. The object of the visit of the gentleman to St. George was to obtain supplies, and to hire more men and teams to work at the mine. This property is located about 70 miles south of here, and the hauling will all be done this way to the railroad. f |
