Luck-Mecham united in double-ring ceremony Fran and Steve Luck of Vernal, and Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Mecham of Vernal, wish to announce the wedding of Kym Luck and Greg Mecham on April 16, 1980 Kym and Greg's wedding took place in a double ring ceremony at Las Vegas, Nevada. A reception for the newly married couple May 9 in Vernal at the Ashley-Maeser Third Ward chapel. The bride wore an old-fashioned dress with a high neckline featuring a beautiful bustle in back. The dress was trimmed in yards of old fashioned lace which matched the lace on the wide brimmed hat. Kym wore a lovely gold chain necklace, a gift from her mother, as something old. Attached to the hat was a sheer fold-away lace veil. Her bouquet was made of long stemmed yellow rose buds. Carey Smith, the bride's attendant, wore a long dress of mint green accentuated ac-centuated with white brocade and a white lace vest jacket. She carried yellow rose buds and white daisies trimmed with mint green ribbons. The bride's mother wore a long pale yellow organdy dress with a sheer floral shawl. Her corsage consisted of yellow and white daisies and yellow mums with mint green ribbons. A long pale yellow dress, featuring a high stand-away collar was worn by the groom's mother. Her corsage was also yellow and white daisies, yellow mums trimmed with mint green ribbons. rib-bons. The best man, Rory Hatch, and the groom dressed in dark green tuxedos with mint green shirts and yellow rose boutonniers. The color scheme was lemon yellow and mint green, which was carried throughout by yellow and green daisies. Green shrubs banked the guest book table and a floral decoration featuring a large ice sculpture was used as the center decoration. Mary Baker, a cousin of the bride's mother was at the guest book. The gift room was attended by Terri Camp, Pam Wilkins and Cindy Mor-tenson. Mor-tenson. The gift bearers were Casey Camp and Ricky Mortenson. Homemade cookies, raspberry sherbert swirled with fresh assorted berries, along with mint and nut cups were served. The program was given by Loue Ann Manwaring, Dorothy Peltier and the Walker family, all of which sang, the whole being narrated by Ron Walker. A bridal shower was given to Kym by the Uettes Drill Team. Ten Cozart and Laura Morrison gave a personal shower and a pantry shower was given by Dorothy Peltier and Laurie Johnson. Special guests were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Camp, the bride's grandparents from Craig, Colo.; Kay and Bill Hall of Provo; the Mitchell's of Orem; and Mr. and Mrs. G. Lloyd of Orem. The newly joined couple will make their home in Vernal. |
