Cloyd and his wife Marge celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary earlier this year on Jan. 2. Cloyd and Marge have nine children, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. At their family reunion in July 2006, Cloyd floated the Green River with his family, something he's always enjoyed doing. It's my variation on Sopapilla, or Garlic Scones. It was a local hit then and is becoming very popular with Basinites now. Requested by little Makai Roberts' mother, who says he loves all kinds of bread, here's cookin' for you 'kid'! SOPAPILLA Ingredients: 8 oz buttermilk 20 oz white flour 3 oz butter, softened to room temperature 2 oz grated Parmesan cheese 2 tbsp dry yeast 2 oz hot water - 14 tsp ground oregano 14 tsp ground thyme 1 tbsp garlic granules 1 oz chopped chives . , 1 tbsp dried parsley 12 tsp sea salt 14 tsp black or white pepper vegetable oil Procedure: Whip butter until fluffy.
