Show Floyd Teeples dies in California Floyd Lee Teeples, formerly of the Vernal area, died Jan. 27, 1982 in a San Bernardino, Calif, hospital. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 1, 1982 in Richfield, Utah. He was born August 17, 1903 to Alonzo Randolph and Sarah Jane Peck Teeples in Vineyard, Utah County, Utah. Floyd served in the U.S. Army during World War I, leaving from Fort Douglas, Utah. His parents moved to the Uintah Basin and bought a ranch in Lapoint where he returned to and lived for three years. He spent several years in San Francisco, Fran-cisco, Calif. He married Winnie Ardella Brookins June 17, 1925 and they had four children, Richard Lee, Barbara and twins, Donald Floyd and David Lee. Later they divorced and Floyd came to Vernal with Richard Lee for two years. He then married Priscilla Greenwood in Salt Lake City. In 1950 they moved to Anchorage, Alaska. He was a civil service ser-vice employee for 33 years before he retired. Funeral services were held Feb. 1 in Richfield. The family prayer was given by William Baker, a grandson. The invocation in-vocation was by Brian Nutter. W. Elden Peck gave the eulogy and speaker was Patriarch William B. Daniles with remarks by Elden Duane Bayles. Vocal duets were sung by Sherry Baker, a daughter, and Darcy Nutter, and Corrine and Reba Winget accompanied accom-panied by Judy Bentley. The benediction was given by Wayne Jenkins, military rites by the VFW post and dedication of the grave by Boyd Teeples Hatch. Pallbearers were Brian C. Nutter, Dale N. Nelson, William L. Baker, David L. Teeples, Boyd Teeples Hatch and Steve Greenwood. |
