Show More power studied for Flaming Gorge dam An investigation has begun to determine the feasibility of adding hydroelectric power generation facilities on the outlet works of Flaming Gorge Dam, the Bureau of Reclamation announced. "There is a need for additional hydroelectric power to help meet the future peaking requirements in the Colorado River Storage Project Service area," the agency said. "Solutions will involve identifying how much generating capacity can be developed by increasing in-creasing the peak releases from the dam." |
